Mohegan Sun welcomes Marc Anthony in concert
Marc Anthony’s latest musical excursion involved teaming up with Will Smith and Bad Bunny for the song “Está Rico (It’s Good),” which was released about a month ago.
Anthony and Smith are longtime buddies; there’s a great social media post out there of Anthony teaching the former Fresh Prince how to dance salsa.
In a press release about “Está Rico,” Anthony said, “Will and I have always wanted to work on a musical collaboration. This song seems perfect for this moment we’re both experiencing creatively. Working with Bad Bunny for the first time has been a great surprise. We all had a magnificent chemistry, and that energy is palpable in both the music and the video."
Fans apparently agree: the song debuted at #7 on the Hot Latin Songs chart.
I’d imagine Anthony will work "Está Rico" into his set list when he plays Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, although he has a career’s worth of great numbers he can choose to perform at the concert.
In other Marc Anthony news: on Nov. 3, he will be honored with the third annual iHeartRadio premio corazón Latino award at the 2018 iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina. The award honors his work in helping the Latin community; among his efforts have been fundraisers to benefit non-profit organizations and build orphanages in Latin America.
Marc Anthony, 8 p.m. Saturday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $61-$151; mohegansun.com.
