It’s Tim time: Tim Allen plays Foxwoods

It’s a good time to be Tim Allen.

His sitcom “Last Man Standing” was axed by ABC last year. (Was it because of the main character’s conservative leanings or because of cost and scheduling issues? You be the judge.)

But then Fox picked up “Last Man Standing” — to great ratings effect. The show’s debut on Sept. 28 drew 8 million viewers, making it the most-watched of any sitcom on Fox over the past six years. (Take that, ABC!)

Next year marks the release of a sequel to Allen’s most popular movie, “Toy Story.” “Toy Story 4,” with Buzz Lightyear in tow, gets released in June.

In the meantime, the ever-active Allen is out doing standup in his spare time. He comes to Foxwoods for a show on Friday. It’s pegged for ages 18 and older, which Allen says is only because he tends to swear.

Tim Allen, 8 p.m. Friday, Grand Theater, Foxwoods; $30-$70; 1-800-200-2882.
