WHO: Mary, age 58, raising three grandchildren, ages 14, 12 and 10.

FAMILY SITUATION: Mary, a lifelong resident of Pawcatuck, is struggling to raise her three grandchildren, whom she has had sole custody of for most of their lives. Mary has always been a hard worker, but she recently has been unable to work due to one of her grandchildren’s special needs and, as a result, has lost her home in foreclosure and will have to move as soon as possible.

WHAT TO GIVE: Monetary donations to this family would help them with moving costs, monthly bills and overall establishment in new housing. Needed household items: microwave, bedroom furniture, television. Grocery and gas cards would also assist their situation greatly.
