Packing bags for those in need

New London — Volunteers gathered Saturday at Parade Plaza to pack bags with hats, gloves, socks, scarves and other items  during the Pack Your Bags event.

The event, created by Toby Mathew of Niantic and partnered with the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, was meant to bring the city together and serve those in need.
