Ledyard grand list up 0.63 percent
Ledyard — The town's net grand list grew slightly in 2018, rising by a total of 0.63 percent.
The current net grand list is $1,111,222,003, up just more than $7 million from 2017.
Net taxable personal property decreased by $481,054, and net taxable motor vehicles grew by $1,706,091. Net taxable real estate grew by $5,790,690.
Tax assessor Adrianna Hedwall said the spike in real estate was due to the approval of two subdivisions, the transfer and change of use of several properties in town, and the Ledyard Meadows apartment complex project.
