Ledge Light Health District hosting drive-through flu clinic next month in Groton
Groton — Ledge Light Health District will host its eighth annual drive-through flu clinic from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in the parking lot of Fitch High School, 101 Groton Long Point Road.
Flu shots will be available free for adults 18 and older who live in East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, Lyme, New London, Old Lyme, Stonington, North Stonington and Waterford.
The “Drive Thru to Beat the Flu” clinic will enable Ledge Light Health District staff, members of the Medical Reserve Corps and partners to practice mass dispensing plans.
Participants must submit a consent form before receiving a shot. Forms can be downloaded from www.llhd.org or obtained at the drive-through. People should wear a tank top, short-sleeve shirt or loose-fitting clothes to provide easy access to the upper arm. For more information, call (860) 448-4882.
