    NAMED

    The law firm of Tobin, Carberry, O'Malley, Riley & Selinger, P.C. (TCORS) of New London has named Kristin Wainright of East Lyme as the firm’s managing partner. A Norwich native, she joined the firm in 2010. Wainright succeeds Attorney Glenn Carberry, who managed the firm’s business for more than 30 years. She was recognized as a Connecticut Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” under the primary practice areas of real estate, business/corporate, and banking. She is a graduate of the Norwich Free Academy, Georgetown University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Prior to joining TCORS, she was an associate with the international law firm of Dechert LLP. 

    WORKSHOPS

    Starting this month, Chelsea Groton Bank kicks off their third free small business series for aspiring and established entrepreneurs. The series, “Cultivating Great Business,” is offered through the Bank’s financial education program, Chelsea University. The instructor-led curriculum was developed jointly by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Classes meet on Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. at Foundry 66 in Norwich from Feb. 25 to April 14.
