Following Fauci's folly will cost us dearly

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the face of the coronavirus response, has no credibility. He has made wildly inaccurate assessments of the virus, stoking panic, fear, and hysteria throughout the land.

The idea that he is concerned about public health is a cruel joke. Referring to the draconian steps taken by our state governments at his recommendation and the disastrous effect they are having on the lives, livelihoods, well-being and non-infectious health of our citizens, he remarked, it's "inconvenient.”

Inconvenient? How arrogant, how self-centered, how narrowminded. Public health means everything that affects the public, not just the yearly visits of various flu-like illnesses. And now he is telling us that we can never return to baseline, to normal.

Fauci is a government hack, an egomaniac, blinded by his own grandiosity and his enjoyment at lording it over us. The coronavirus will soon become part of the past, but the damage to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness will last for a decade. That will be the legacy of Fauci’s folly and the group-think governors who did not have the wisdom or courage to look at the bigger picture.
