Having a splash in Groton

It hasn't been easy to beat the heat in recent days, but people in eastern Connecticut are finding ways, including heading to the shoreline.

In Groton, brothers Zander, 9, and Izsak Niles, 7, of Willimantic and their friend Ashton Rhoads, 6, of Griswold were playing in the water Wednesday at Bluff Point State Park.

The string of hot days is forecast to continue, with high temperatures expected to be in the low 80s along the shore and in the mid-80s to 90 inland.
