Windy but warm day in Groton
Groton — Friends Emma Lenzi of Newington and Leilanie Perez of New Britain were using blankets to stay warm Tuesday as they ate their lunch on the rocks at Eastern Point.
They both had the day off work and decided to travel to the beach when they saw how warm it was.
"It's windier than we thought. I'm glad we're here but I'm glad we have blankets," Perez said.
