    Operation Homefront delivers holiday meal items to 100 military families

    Groton — Volunteers were handing out bags of holiday meal food items to military families Wednesday during the Operation Homefront Holiday Meals For Military drive-thru event at the Balfour Beatty Communities.

    Santa Claus, wearing a clear face shield, also was on site chatting with families as they drove up.

    The event was in partnership with Dime Bank and 100 families received two holiday meal bags, a bag of Procter & Gamble products and a Stop & Shop gift card.
