Norwich food distribution on for Monday morning
Norwich — The Connecticut Food Bank/Foodshare weekly free food distribution will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the former Foxwoods employee parking lot at 28 Stonington Road-Route 2 in Norwich.
Mayor Peter Nystrom said Sunday that a Mashantucket road crew will clear snow from the traffic lanes in the nearly 34-acre lot to allow for the drive-thru distribution.
The food bank will distribute 21 pallets of U.S. Department of Agriculture food boxes that include milk, other dairy products, meat and produce.
