Deadline extended for New London poet laureate
New London — The city continues to accept applications for New London’s second poet laureate.
The deadline was extended from Feb 5 to Feb. 28 and while applicants must be residents of New London, there is no longer a three-year minimum residency requirement.

Mayor Michael Passero will appoint the new poet laureate to a three-year term on April 5. This position will feature an annual $300 stipend.
