    Norwich baby killed in dog attack

    Norwich — A baby is dead after the family's dog attacked him, police say.

    Officers were called to 36 McKinley Ave., a multifamily residence, just before 8:40 p.m. Monday for a reported dog attack, police said in a news release late Monday night. They found a month-old child had been attacked.

    The child was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The investigation is continuing, with city detectives assisting.     Police did not identify the family in the release. No further information was immediately available.
