Rolling on the river: Floatchella returns to Mystic
Mystic’s Floatchella returns on Saturday, after last year’s successful debut.
At this pop-up event, paddle craft head out on the Mystic River, north of the Mystic River drawbridge, and gather around a floating stage tethered to land on Gravel Street. There, they get to hear an array of music from the likes of DJ Blade Mon, Dion Knibb and the Yaad Crew Sound band.
Floatchella is presented by the Downtown Mystic Merchants and Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce.
Floatchella, 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Mystic River; launching points include under the I-95 bridge on River Road, on Isham Street on Water Street across from Daniel Packer Inne, and on Williams Beach at YMCA; donations accepted at those sites.
