Corvettes, muscle cars to descend on New London on Sunday
New London — Sunday is a day to celebrate cars in New London.
The nonprofit For Corvettes Only Inc., a group of Chevrolet Corvette enthusiasts, has organized a show to be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ocean Beach Park. The show is expected to draw cars from across Connecticut and neighboring states, with donations being made to Make-A-Wish and other local organizations. Several hundred cars could be in attendance, along with vendors and Paul Koerner, a world-class Corvette service specialist.
Meanwhile, the season’s second “Bank Street Breakout” car cruise will be held downtown from 1 to 5 p.m. It will feature pre-1973 hot rods, customs, muscle cars and stockers. There will special parking on Bank Street and the waterfront for show vehicles.
