Search Engine Optimization Specialist (Part-time)

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist is responsible for managing organic and paid search engine optimization activities and executing tactics that support The Day Publishing digital clients. Responsible for managing all SEO functions such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks and to help manage all SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing to maximize digital client goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Content and creative copy optimization
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to help drive the most valuable traffic
  • Ongoing audit/review and analysis of client websites for areas that can be improved and optimized
  • Mine a vast number of data sources (surveys, Google Analytics reports, audits, user testing, etc.) to extract insights geared towards evaluating our client’s SEO campaigns against various KPIs
  • Prepare detailed client-facing monthly/quarterly metrics reports Technical on-page SEO implementation
  • Strategic thinking and planning
  • Editing, proofing + QA on projects

Qualifications:

  • AdWords Certified or willing to obtain certification in first six months of employment.
  • Broad digital marketing experience with specific knowledge of digital marketing strategy, social media marketing, marketing automation, nurturing campaigns, digital advertising, search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) / pay per click (PPC), integrated content marketing, and blogs
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics (or similar) and/or Google Tag Manager (or similar)
  • Reviewing and analyzing client sites for areas that can be improved and optimized – May include analyzing keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors
  • Preparing detailed strategy reports
  • Using best practice methods to identify powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic with best calls-to-action to convert visitors
  • Writing effective SEO content for blogs, websites and social media accounts
  • Developing link building strategies
  • Strong organizational skills; an ability to multi task, focus on detail and manage a timeline

Digital Advertising Specialist (Part-time)
The Digital Advertising Specialist is responsible for developing strategy, recommending content development & optimizations, and executing tactics that will support The Day Publishing digital client SEM, websites, social media channels, email marketing (marketing automation), SEO and more. Responsible for analyzing digital metrics, including web traffic and user behavior data to identify key performance indicators, provide actionable insights, and improve marketing efficiency and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Prior experience in content marketing, content growth and SEO
  • Working knowledge of search engine optimization practices
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Familiarization Google analytics
  • Experience with website optimization tools
  • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills

Qualifications, special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Proficient computer skills: Microsoft suite of products, PowerPoint, spreadsheet management, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hands-on leadership role with one direct report

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. degree, with a concentration in Human Resources or related business field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Human Resources with at least 2 years’ supervisory experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communications and relationship building skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment law
  • Demonstrated experience with benefits administration
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software; proficient with Excel

Customer Service

Customer Service Call Center Representative
This is a part time, parent friendly (24-26 hours per week) position with the opportunity for additional hours to cover departmental need that may arise. We are looking for a flexible team player with customer service and data entry skills. Responsibilities include servicing and handling customer inquiries, requests and concerns by phone or the web, while inputting data and updating customer account information; maintaining continued contact with customers to help resolve customer service issues; occasional back-up for receptionist. No cold calling telemarketing involved.

Advertising

Front Desk Assistant
Part-time Position. Work in team environment supporting sales and customer service effort. Duties include handling incoming/outgoing calls, greeting visitors, data entry, handling customer service inquires, processing obituaries and classified ads, handling mail. Involves weekend hours.

Reliability, attention to detail and a strong work ethic combined with great communication skills are a must, as well as familiarity with all necessary office equipment, software and procedures.

Account Executive
This full-time position is responsible for developing and selling the complete compliment of Day products including print, digital, contests and promotions; providing information to advertisers in a consultative manner; creating effective, professional sales presentations; and creating strong relationships with the local community.

Strong knowledge of print and online media and sales experience in online, print, broadcast, cable or radio a plus.

Must be comfortable with cold-calling to develop new business. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple products in a deadline-driven environment. Must have a valid driver’s license and daily access to an automobile.
