Attorney Michael W. Sheehan, President of the New London law firm of Conway, Londregan, Sheehan & Monaco, P.C., has been reappointed as one of the 13 Connecticut attorneys to the Standards of Title Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association. This is the seventh consecutive year that Sheehan has served on the committee. The Standards of Title Committee was established in 1937 and is responsible for drafting and publishing the real property title standards upon which the Connecticut bar and courts rely.

The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT will host its annual Business Breakfast Honoring Social Service Agencies on Friday, Dec. 1, from 7:45 to 9 a.m. at Holiday Inn, 35 Governor Winthrop Boulevard, New London. The 2017 Eastern CT Social Service Awards will be presented. The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Foundation is accepting donations for the three auctions that take place at its Holiday Gala at Mohegan Sun on Friday, Dec. 8, 5:30-9:30 p.m. Proceeds raised will be distributed by the Chamber Foundation to local children and families in need this winter. The Light House Voc-Ed Center has received a $5,000 grant from the Liberty Bank Foundation for a development consultant to support the creation of 10 affordable housing units for adults on the autism spectrum. The Light House Voc-Ed Center, founded in 1992, teaches life skills to children and adults with disabilities.
