Naskart Racing, Mohegan Sun to announce partnership
Montville — Naskart Racing and Mohegan Sun will announce a new partnership Tuesday that coincides with a “full rebranding” of the Naskart go-kart and trampoline complex on Sachatello Industrial Drive.
Neither property would say what the partnership entails prior to the announcement.
Naskart principals have been discussing the partnership with Mohegan Sun since before the go-kart track opened in 2017, according to Naskart spokesman Cody Browning. The facility’s partnership with Mohegan Sun is not a response to Foxwoods Resort Casino’s plan to develop an indoor go-kart track of its own, he said.
Foxwoods announced its plan in the fall of 2017, and later revealed it was partnering with On Track Karting, a Connecticut company that operates go-kart tracks in Wallingford and Brookfield. Work on the Foxwoods attraction, which is being built in the Fox Tower garage, began late last year. Foxwoods anticipates the track will open this summer, according to Adam Jalbert, Foxwoods’ public relations manager.
On Track Karting announced on its website that it plans to close its Brookfield facility April 30 and will open its “flagship track” at Foxwoods.
