EB to discuss shipyard expansion plans Thursday night

Groton — Representatives from Electric Boat and Fuss & O'Neill, a civil and environmental engineering consulting firm, will hold a public meeting at the city municipal building, 295 Meridian St., from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss its plans for expansion at its Groton shipyard.
EB plans to spend more than $850 million on capital improvements at its Groton headquarters, including a new construction bay where a new class of 12 ballistic missile submarines will be built.
