    Mohegan Gaming marketing executive named a top innovator

    Mohegan — A Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment marketing executive has been named one of the hospitality industry’s top innovators.

    George Galinsky, MGE’s senior vice president of marketing communications, will be honored next month as one of Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International’s Top 25 Extraordinary Minds of 2018. The awards, honoring the hospitality industry’s top leaders in sales, marketing and revenue optimization, will be presented in January.

    For Galinsky, the recognition follows the successful rollout of the second season of “Back of House,” a digital TV series offering glimpses of Mohegan Sun employees performing their jobs, including preparing for and navigating grand openings, celebrity events and concerts at the Uncasville casino.

    "George Galinsky's recognition as one of the top marketing leaders in resort hospitality comes as no surprise," said Mario Kontomerkos, MGE’s chief executive officer. "Along with launching the second season of ‘Back of House,’ George and his team have also helped propel the MGE brand forward and further position us as a leader in premier entertainment and gaming destination development.”

    Galinsky also has been named to the Association of National Advertisers’ Masters Circle, where he will work with leading chief marketing officers on the Brand Experience & Innovation Leadership committee.

    He joined Mohegan Sun in 1999 and has been a member of MGE’s executive team since 2014.
