Conn College rallies past Amherst for 3-2 win in women's soccer

Kelly Brigham scored in the 89th minute to break a 2-2 tie and lift the Connecticut College women's soccer team to a 3-2 win over Amherst in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game on Sunday.

Sara Kogelman took a free kick and fired the ball inside the box into traffic. Brigham was able to redirect it past Amherst goalie Chelsea Cutler, who was shielded by her own defenders. It was the first career goal for Brigham, a sophomore.

Conn (7-0-1, 4-0-1) rallied to tie the game twice. Kat Norton's unassisted goal at 7:51 tied the game at 1-1 and the Camels tied the game at 2-2 when Mackenzie Kingston scored at 78:51. Bryanna Montalvo made three saves for Conn.

Hannah Guzzi scored both goals for Amherst (3-4, 1-3) and Rubii Tamen assisted on both scores.
