A hip hop history lesson: ’90s Rewind comes to Foxwoods
Press materials for an upcoming concert at Foxwoods suggest the 1990s were the “golden age of hip hop.” Personally, I’m not sure the ’90s were the golden age of ANYTHING, but I’m willing to at least acknowledge that Friday’s rap-happy “’90s Rewind” package show in the casino’s Premier Theater has some big names.
Treach, Digital Underground, Tone Loc, Tag Team, C+C Music Factory and Candyman will each perform, and their respective hits should provide a soundtrack to trigger a lot of memories. When WAS the last time you listened to “Funky Cold Medina”?
’90s Rewind, 8 p.m. Friday, Premier Theater, Foxwoods; $49 and up; foxwoods.com.
