Shoreline Arts Alliance presents IMAGES, Connecticut's oldest state-wide photography competition and exhibition. IMAGES, now on its 38th year, will be opening on March 21, 2019 at the Guilford Art Center. Work is selected from submissions by a jury of professional out-of-state judges.

The exhibition runs from March 21 - April 6 at the Guilford Art Center, 411 Church Street,Guilford, CT with the hours M-F 9 am - 4 pm, Sat 10 am - 4 pm, and Sun 12 pm - 4 pm. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

The opening reception for the exhibition will be held on Friday, March 22 at 6 pm. Join us for food, drinks, great art, and an award ceremony!

Shoreline Arts Alliance is also hosting a Gallery Talk during IMAGES by Paula Tognarelli, Director of the Griffon Museum of Photography in Massachusetts. The Gallery talk will be on March 28 starting at 7 pm.

For the past 54 years the women of Calvary Church in Stonington have been serving a series of Lenten Luncheons to area residents for the purpose of raising money for charity. This year the Luncheons will take place on each of the five Mondays in Lent beginning Monday, March 11 thru Monday, April 8. Each week will feature a different entrée with salad, bread, dessert and beverage; a Vegetarian/Gluten Free option as well as Takeout is available. Luncheons, which cost $10 (free for children under age 6), are served in the parish house from noon-1:30 p.m. A short Noonday prayer service will take place in the church at 11:45 a.m. For more information call (860) 912-4144.
