Antique Vehicle Show rolls back into Mystic Seaport Sunday

The Mystic Seaport Museum is primarily known for its ships, but for one day out of every year, the museum celebrates another mode of transportation: antique vehicles. On Sunday, that’s what will happen when the annual antique vehicle show returns to the Seaport. With it, show-goers will be able to peruse over 100 authentic pre-1930 cars, trucks and motorcycles, and they'll have ample opportunity to converse with automobile owners and ride in the cars themselves.

To see the vehicles in action, stick around for the Grand Parade of Vehicles, starting at 4 p.m., where the 100-plus old-time treasures ride about the Village Green.

And make sure to check out the 2018 feature vehicle — a 1910 Stanley Model 70 steam car. It’s powered by a 2-cylinder engine that generates 20 horse power.

By Land and by Sea: Antique Vehicle Show, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Mystic Seaport, 75 Greenmanville Ave. Mystic; seaport admission is $28.95 adults, $26.95 ages 65 and up, $18.95 ages 4-14, free for ages 3 and under; (860) 572-0711, www.mysticseaport.org.
