Hygienic opens two exhibits Sept. 13

New London's Hygienic Art celebrates a pair of new exhibitions with a free joint reception at 6:30 p.m. September 13. "Reclaimed," curated by Juanita Austin, explores and celebrates the culture of modern witches of color. In the downstairs space, "Otherworldly & Divine," curated by Gabrielle Shea, is a multimedia group show that inspects the mystery and meaning of mythology, folklore and supernatural beings. Both exhibits run through Oct. 12; 79 Bank St., New London; (860) 443-8001, hygienic.org.
