Novelist Heather Webb speaks, signs copies Wednesday at Bank Square Books

Authors Heather Webb and Hazel Gaynor's successful historical fiction collaborations include "Last Christmas in Paris," "Meet Me in Monaco" and the just-out "Three Words for Goodbye."

The story concerns estranged sisters Clara and Madeleine Sommers and a mission they undertake together after learning their grandmother is dying. She asks them to travel to Europe and deliver three goodbye letters to friends she hasn't seen in decades. The siblings agree; unfortunately, it's 1937 and they're thrust into cataclysmic global events.

As one of the first "live" events at Mystic's Bank Square Books since the pandemic started, Webb will discuss her work and answer questions in the store Wednesday. Webb is also the standalone USA Today bestselling author of "The Last Ship Home," "The Phantom's Apprentice," "Rodin's Lover" and "Becoming Josephine."

Heather Webb, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Bank Square Books, 53 West Main St., Mystic; free, registration required; banksquarebooks.com, (860) 536-3795.
