Run-DMC — the groundbreaking, visionary, enormously successful, second-rap-act-ever-inducted-into-the-Rock-&-Roll-Hall-of-Fame, belongs-on-the-Mt.-Rushmore-of-Hip-Hop, but long-defunct group — seems to be back!

For one night, anyway.

As part of Mohegan Sun's 25th Anniversary Celebration (see separate bets on Harry Styles and Blake Shelton, who also performing for the event), Run-DMC is scheduled to appear Saturday in the facility's Wolf Den.

It's probably hard for many of today's biggest rap stars to realize how really good and influential Run-DMC were/are. In fact, you could probably get some tempting odds in Vegas on whether current rap chart-toppers like Pooh Shiesty, Moneybagg Yo, NLE Choppa and possibly even Megan Thee Stallion have ever even HEARD of Run-DMC.

Oh, well, that's the way of Time for you. I still think the line cueing up outside the Wolf Den for this free show will be about 12 miles long. And that's History for you.
