In theory, it's a great concept. All Hallow's Eve Eve! The day before Halloween! A group of A-list female thriller writers gathered together on an autumn afternoon at the gorgeous Ocean House in Watch Hill to discuss their craft and All Things Spooky!

Meghan Collins, author of "The Family Plot," will lead a panel that includes Deborah Goodrich Royce ("Ruby Falls"), Luanne Rice ("The Shadow Box"), Wendy Walker ("Don't Look For Me"), Emily Liebert ("Perfectly Famous"), Hank Phillippi Ryan ("Her Perfect Life") and Vanessa Lillie ("For The Best").

The problem with this scenario, for the reader, is the question: "Which one of these books should I read before the trick or treaters arrive tomorrow night?" Take the long view. It's like Halloween candy. There's plenty to feast on long after the jack-o'-lanterns have decomposed.

Ticket price includes a glass of wine and small bites, and books will be available for purchase.
