Coast Guard Academy hosts New London Community Day

New London Community Day takes place at the Coast Guard Academy Saturday.

The New London High School band and cheerleaders will perform during halftime at the football game between CGA and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Teacher of the Year and Student of the Month will be recognized.

And there will be family activities offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with face painting, temporary tattooing and photos with CGA mascot Objee.

New London Community Day, Saturday, Coast Guard Academy, New London; tickets can be purchased to park in the Academy’s “Tailgate Zone,” but attendees can walk in at no charge.
