Mark Charles, award-winning author of Unsettling Truths will speak on and discuss the dehumanizing legacy of the Doctrine of Discovery on March 1 at 6:50 p.m. at Christ Church, 7 Elm St. Westerly. Drawing from a unique indigenous perspective, his discussion will focus on the blend of history, theology and culture that reveal the root causes and damaging effects of the Doctrine of Discovery. A light supper from 5:50 to 6:50 will precede the talk. Everyone is invited to attend.
