Westerly gallery showcases ‘Peace of Work’
AiR Studio Gallery’s 14th exhibition, “Peace of Work,” showcases new paintings and works on paper by Theresa Girard alongside sculptures by Richard Abarno.
The opening is 5-8 p.m. June 7 for Westerly First Friday Art Crawl.
Girard’s new paintings center around the idea of peace. She is an abstract painter from Providence.
Drawing from influences as diverse as folk art and outsider artists, Arbano invites viewers on a whimsical journey of curiosity where animals take on anthropomorphic qualities and everyday objects are imbued with playful charm. He has a studio in Charlestown, R.I.
