Poster for the Noank Artists Exhibition by Noank artist Sloan Rankin.

The Noank Artists Exhibition has been an annual village tradition for more than three decades, and the latest incarnation begins this Saturday at the Latham Chester Gallery in Noank.

The show brings together works by artists from around the region, with a diverse range of media that includes original paintings, photographs, sculpture and prints. More than 50 artists are expected to participate.

A Meet the Artists reception will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday to kick off the exhibition.

All works are for sale, with part of the proceeds benefitting the Noank Historical Society, the show’s sponsor. Artists install new works when pieces are sold, so the show updates constantly.

The Noank Artists Exhibition, Saturday through Sept. 1, Latham Chester Gallery, the foot of Main Street, Noank; hours 1-4 p.m. Wed.-Sun.

Comment threads are monitored for 48 hours after publication and then closed.
