Lyme Art Association features three new shows
The Lyme Art Association in Old Lyme has a trio of new exhibitions on view through Sept. 5.
The first is the 103rd Elected Artists Exhibition. Elected Artists are LAA’s most accomplished artists and the torch-bearers of the American representational tradition. They have submitted their best work for this annual show.
Running concurrently is “Taking Flight,” which considers the beauty of avian life and the exhilaration of flight. Through various art mediums and styles, member artists explore avian ecology and the human fascination with flight.
And LAA welcomes back to its galleries the New Haven Paint & Clay Club for their juried show “2024 Selected Members Exhibition.” The artists featured are Diane Chandler, Robert Jacoby, Anne Johann, Gus Moran, and Greg Shea.
Founded in 1914 by the American Impressionists, the Lyme Art Association continues the tradition of exhibiting and selling representational artwork, as well as offering art instruction and lectures to the community.
Lyme Art Association is located at 90 Lyme St. in Old Lyme. Admission is free, with donations appreciated. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wed.-Sun. For more information, visit www.lymeartassociation.org or call (860) 434-7802
