Sushi donut

They had me at “sushi donut.” I mean, come on, doesn’t that name make you want to know more? The donut aspect, you’ll be pleased to know, only refers to the shape of the creation. No fried dough or sugary icing to be had here. What you do have is a delicious sushi mélange: spicy tuna topped with sushi rice, salmon, tuna, seaweed salad, pickled radish avocado, scallion, tobiko and spicy mayo in a round donut shape. It’s damned delicious. On the night I was at Spice Club, sushi donut ($15.95) was offered as an appetizer on the specials menu, but it was enough for a very filling meal.
