While visiting with my 17-year-old cousin this weekend, she showed me a cellphone app I’d never heard of called “HQ” — a phone-based trivia game that takes the form of a live game show. It is hosted by Scott Rogowsky and presents viewers (those who login in time) with multiple choice questions. Viewers must pick one of three answers within 10 seconds. If you get a question wrong, you’re bumped out of the competition (you can still keep watching, though). If you answer all 12 questions right, you’ll win money — sometimes as little as $11, and sometimes as much as $25,000. Sound simple? Give it your best shot, because the questions are ridiculously hard. Game times are at 9 p.m. EST every day, with an additional showtime at 3 p.m. on weekdays. The app is free to download.
