The Shoreline Arts Alliance announces the 33rd annual Scholarships in the Arts program for high school juniors and seniors. Scholarships of $1,000 are offered in creative writing, dance, instrumental music, vocal music, theatre and visual arts.

Students who live in Branford, Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, Durham, East Haddam, East Hampton, East Haven, East Lyme, Essex, Guilford, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Madison, Middlefield, Middletown, North Branford, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland, Salem and Westbrook are encouraged to apply. Application forms must be postmarked on or before Dec. 18. Applications and audition dates in the performing arts categories and portfolio reviews for the creative writers and visual artists are listed at website,www.shorelinearts.org/scholarships.cfm.
