    H.S. lacrosse roundup: Lamb's hat trick paces Stonington girls

    Waterford — Hannah Lamb had three goals and an assist, giving her a team-best 44 goals for the season, and Cat Cassata and Kate Johnson scored two goals apiece as the Stonington High School girls' lacrosse team defeated Waterford 11-6 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II matchup.

    Alexis Scott made three saves for the Bears (9-4, 3-1).

    Meghan Foley had three goals and an assist and Olivia Gianakos scored twice for Waterford (4-8, 0-3).

    In other games:

    • Lydia Tinnerello had five goals and one assist as Old Lyme defeated Valley Regional 12-10. Daisy Colvin, Anna Sather and Bella Arias had two goals apiece for Old Lyme.

    Boys

    • Kyle Jacobsen scored three times for Waterford in a 12-2 victory over Stonington in ECC Division II. Michael LaForte added two goals and three assists and Caleb Holdridge one goal and six assists for Waterford (9-3, 3-0) and Ryan Huta, Mason LaForte and Logan Bowdish scored two goals each. Jake Mueller and Maarco Tedeschi each scored for Stonington (6-6, 2-2).

    • Pat Brady scored eight goals with an assist as St. Bernard/Wheeler beat Griswold 18-4 in an ECC Division II game, extending its winning streak to eight. Jack O'Leary had four goals and seven assists, Scott Pion had three goals, Aaron Clark scored twice and Billy Niles had a goal and two assists for the Saints (12-1, 4-0).

    • Sean Ventresca and Joey Andrews had three goals each as Montville beat Ledyard 14-1. Tanner Diamantini scored twice, Derek Debbis had two goals and an assist, Ventresca had two assists, Andrews had an assist and brothers Sam and Sawyer Kury won 18 of 19 faceoffs for the Indians (6-7). Ledyard is 0-13. 

    • Forman School led 6-1 after one quarter and went on to beat Williams School 12-2 on Wednesday. Harry Anselmi scored both goals for Williams (4-4) and teammate James Knowlton had an assist and nine ground balls.
