H.S. roundup: Bacon rallies for 3-2 volleyball win over Montville
Colchester — Bacon Academy won the final two games to rally past Montville 3-2 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference volleyball match on Friday.
Jen Whipple had seven aces, three blocks and three kills to lead the Bobcats (2-2) while Emma Mancuso added three blocks and five kills and Jamie Greene had 15 digs.
Brooke Taylor had 15 assists, three kills and three aces to lead Montville (0-3) while Maya Hillman finished with six kills and seven blocks, Anna Kreilow had 16 digs and Maria Siismets had 12 digs.
Girls' cross country
• Old Lyme split a Shoreline Conference tri-meet on Thursday, losing to Valley Regional 34-43 while earning a 15-50 forfeit win over host North Branford. The Wildcats were led by a pair of sophomores as Maddy Morgado finished second in 23:01 and Alyssa Spooner was fifth in 24:59. Bella Hine added a 10th-place finish in 26:00.
