    H.S. lacrosse: Unbeaten East Lyme girls keep rolling along

    East Lyme — Ryan Nagle and Caroline Real scored four goals apiece as East Lyme remained unbeaten with a 21-1 victory over Norwich Free Academy in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division I girls' lacrosse game on Thursday night.

    Sydney Sager added three goals for the Vikings (8-0, 6-0) while Izzy Mazzi added two goals and three assists, Abbie Belleville had two goals and two assists, and Nancy Alden had three assists.

    Alice Rourke scored for NFA (1-7, 1-5).

    In other games:

    • Maddox Burton scored five goals as Bacon Academy defeated Wheeler, 18-7, in ECC Div. II. Sarah Newton had three goals and Joely Stella and  Skylar Gustavsen had two goals apiece for Bacon (5-2, 5-0). Grace Armstrong had three goals for the Lions (2-6, 2-6).

    • Old Lyme defeated Wolcott 22-3 in a non-conference game. Sydney Goulding, Caroline Crolius and Gretchen Burgess had three goals apiece for the Wildcats (5-4).

    • Lily Tomczik scored seven goals and Montville defeated Ledyard, 13-10, in Div. II of the ECC. Maddie Gould and Reagan Buscetto had three goals apiece for Montville (6-2, 4-1). Maddie McLeod had five goals for Ledyard (4-4, 4-2) while Katie English added two goals and an assist.

    • Rita Sefransky had eight goals and four assists as Fitch defeated Waterford 18-6 in ECC Div. I. Bridget O'Leary had four goals and five assists for Fitch (8-1, 5-1). Emily Gates scored three goals for the Lancers (2-6, 2-5).

    Boys

    • Tommy Brunelli had four goals in NFA's 13-8 loss to Woodstock in Div. I of the ECC. The Wildcats are 4-4, 1-4.

    • Kellen Paparella had six goals and Bacon Academy defeated Waterford, 7-1. The Bobcats are 8-1 and head coach Brian Martin earned his 150th career coaching victory. John Zimmerman scored for Waterford (4-5).

    • Steve Turchetta made 21 saves as Montville edged Ledyard/Griswold, 4-2 in ECC Div. II. Ayden Frechette scored twice for Montville (4-4, 3-3). Kaine Sherman and Cam Reynolds scored the goals for the Colonels (2-7, 2-4).
