Roaring Brook Preserve
Town: Lyme
Directions: From I-95, take Exit 70 to Route 156 west (north) about 7.5 miles to left on Route 82 west; stay straight onto Route 148 west to right on Day Hill Road at the Hadlyme Hall. Preserve is just past hall on the left.
Where to Park: There is parking for a few cars near the entrance.
Description: Rufus Barringer Interpretive Trail is a loop of about .73 miles with numbered markers that correspond to natural features described in brochure available on Lyme Land Conservation Trust Web site.
Regulations: Dogs on leash allowed. No bicycles.
Amenities: None.
Natural Features: Portion of trail follows banks of Roaring Brook, a picturesque stream.
Fees: Free.
Good to know: Parts of trail can be steep and very wet, at times impassible.
