The editorial cartoon published recently by Mike Lester implies that strong women are ugly, obese and loud. It is meant to be ironic that these women should have a sexual side to their personalities. Certainly ugly, obese loud males have sexual tendencies. The artist represents the male perspective that only pretty, thin quiet women are acceptable and know enough not to be outspoken. To quote our imperial leader: “Sad, very sad.”
