Deranged young men, not would-be Scouts

Professor Burns has been watching too many "Leave it to Beaver" reruns. School shooters are not angry, aimless young men, "Beware angry, aimless young men," (Feb. 26). They are sick young men. They have had emotional problems since birth. Churches and scouting and school dances cannot cure them when even mental health professionals have tried and failed. Until science finds the causes, long-term care psychiatric facilities are the solution. Since they have disappeared, prison is the only alternative. And getting rid of assault weapons could only help.
