Why not select Kia Nurse in the Women's National Basketball Association draft? As an avid Connecticut Sun and UConn basketball fan, I am trying to understand what geniuses in Connecticut Sun management made the decision to select Lexie Brown and bypass Kia Nurse in the draft April 12?

Did Connecticut Sun management think Kia would not be a good fit for the team? Kia Nurse was the top three-point shooter and the best defender in the NCAA this year and has two national championship rings, a world games gold medal with team Canada, and international basketball experience.

Connecticut Sun attendance could certainly benefit from having a home-grown Connecticut basketball player.

Can Lexie Brown fill the shoes of Alex Bentley when she retires? I would love to hear from the Connecticut Sun on what their criteria are for selecting a point guard.
