Nov. 6 is coming up, and we in Connecticut will be asked to elect a new governor, state senators, representatives, members of Congress and a few others. What you need to ask yourself at the state level is what is better with Democrats in charge? If you enjoy high taxes, net population and job loss as well as over-regulation, then I guess the status quo is for you. For those of us that can read a balance sheet the status quo is killing Connecticut and its citizens. The cure is very simple: Elect fiscal conservatives so we can survive. We cannot continue to ignore billions in long-term unfunded liabilities and run continuous budget deficits. The numbers are easy; locations with lower taxes collect more revenue.
