Why take decorations that bring enjoyment to a New London neighborhood?

    Good people can make mistakes.

Thirty years ago on June 7 my wife and I bought our home on Willetts Avenue in New London. Over these 30 years we've had a great time decorating our little corner of New London for all the different seasons. We've met so many great people who have stopped by and talked about the changes that take place in the yard each season; sometimes dropping off an antique for us to use, and noting how they look forward to the next season.

Occasionally, some items have gone missing. But this year is the worst. We go to bed at night and then the thieves come into our yard. It has happened numerous times this year. I wish the individuals that are stealing the plants and decorations would stop and realize their actions hurt many people.

My wish is that they would return the items. What a surprise it would be to get up one morning and not look for something new missing, but seeing something that was missing reappear from where it started.
