Bravo to The Day for continually recognizing the Connecticut Sun, our professional women’s basketball team. If all the news outlets and television stations (Are you listening?) would provide the coverage for the Sun that the Day provides, it would speak volumes for the advancement of women in today’s world and not limited to just sports.

To quote Cheryl Reeves, head coach of the Minnesota Lynx, “The more women’s sports are covered, the more popular and mainstream they will become.”

Congratulations for being a catalyst for change. It is time other media outlets jump on the bandwagon.
