While there are four candidates on the ballot in the 39th District special election, voters only have two choices: Democrat or Republican. Three out of the four candidates have chosen to put their name on the Republican ballot line in previous elections. The same Republican Party which has halted increases to the minimum wage, tried to close UConn Avery Point and cut Medicare funding, which hurts our seniors. There is only one candidate who has never accepted the endorsement of the party of President Trump and that is Anthony Nolan.

On Feb. 26 the voters of the 39th District have a choice. If you want a $15 minimum wage and paid family medical leave vote for Nolan. If you want a state representative who will work with the director of Legislative Affairs, Chris Soto, then vote for Nolan. If you want to elect the best candidate to bring home the state aid New London desperately needs and deserves then I urge you to vote for Democrat Anthony Nolan.
