High electric costs more reason to flee Connecticut

Why do we pay so much for electricity?

I recently returned from a trip to Florida. While there visiting my brother, we were comparing cost of living in Florida vs. Connecticut. His latest electric bill was $126.01 for 1171 kilowatt hours (KWH’s) for a KWH cost of $.1076. My last bill while we were away was $58.88 for 199 KWH’s for a KWH cost of $.2959. My supplier charge for electricity was $17.87. The delivery charge from Eversource was $41.01. If I had used the same amount of power as my brother, my bill would have been $346.47 versus $126.01.

No wonder people are leaving Connecticut when we are paying almost three times as much for electricity than people in Florida.
