Wishes all students had fair opportunity to succeed in intimate settings

Concerning Williams School Class of 2019, (June 6): When I was reading the inspiring story about the Williams School graduating class there were three things that stood out to me: The classes were intimate, the students are moving forward to higher education and the article closed with this student statement "....it taught us to be compassionate and left me with a desire to help others." It's the kind of sendoff most of us would love for our own children to experience.

I once met a happy little fourth grade boy; eager to learn, playing with a matchbox car, he said to me, "I want to work on cars, my father was killed in prison." I don't work in education, but I can envision a system that supports all children with intimate classes, promising futures and desires to help others. New London has a famous chef trying to create a model for healthy affordable school lunches; how can we become a model for intimate classes that prepare our kids for higher education?

Schools in some states have a staggered school calendar to help reduce crowded classes; maybe we could stagger the calendar to create intimate classes.

It comes down to cost. By the way, does it cost much to attend Williams?
